These wood spirits are carved from Deer Antler. They are carved into the coronet. The coronet is the bit that joins to the Deers head. These were done after reading a book by Tom Wolfe. They really are amazing characters, even though I follow the set proceedure when carving them, they each have a different character when finished. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
I fix the handles on with a double ended screw, I drill a 6mm hole into the stick and into the handle. I drive the screw into the stick and then screw on the handle after applying some glue. Last updated 07 May 2001 © Mik Strevens 25/6/2000 |
I get my dentist to save all
her old bits for me, they fit in my Dremel a treat. It's
a good idea to use seasoned bone, otherwise it can be a
bit smelly! |
